Things I'd Pay Big Money For to Keep My Home Healthy This Fall

There's stuff I'll happily buy the cheap version of, and then there's the handful of things I actually don't mind spending more on, this is that list for fall.

These are the things that’re actually earning its keep in our house this season.

WHAT'S ACTUALLY WORTH IT

Clothing-wise, I've basically been living in this Quince organic cotton cropped cardigan since it got cool enough to layer, it's held up well enough that I don't regret spending more on it. For the house, the Branch Basics beeswax candle is one I'd repurchase without blinking, it smells like fall without the synthetic fragrance headache. And once the sniffles start going around, ColdCalm tablets are the first thing I reach for, I've stopped buying whatever's cheapest at the pharmacy instead.

WHERE I DON'T BOTHER SPENDING MORE

Skincare-wise, my routine barely changes season to season, I just swap in a heavier lip balm, Dr. Bronner's naked organic lip balm gets me through the dry air and it's not expensive at all. Same with the kids' cozy layers, this merino beanie is warm, easy to wash, and I don't need anything fancier than that.

THE ONE NEW THING THIS YEAR

I finally picked up this Caraway enameled cast iron saucepan for soup season, and I finally framed this floral line art set for the house, small thing, but it made the space feel finished instead of half-done.

IF YOU WANT THE FULL LIST

Here's my fall starter pack if you want to shop the whole lineup, plus a few extras I didn't get to mention here.

Thanks for being here, friends!
