I've been on a journey of lowering my inflammation to help manage my endometriosis symptoms, and this one has been a huge help along the way.
Lowering inflammation has been one of the biggest priorities in managing my endometriosis symptoms, and this simple honey blend has become such a comforting part of my routine. Mixing warm spices like turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon into raw honey creates a delicious, soothing paste that I dissolve into hot water every morning to start my day feeling supported.
What do you need?
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground turmeric
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp black pepper
3/4 cup honey
How do you make it?
Combine the ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, and black pepper.
Stir in the honey until fully combined.
Transfer to a jar.
How do I use it?
I take a teaspoon of this and melt it into a cup of hot water each morning. I try to drink it alongside something fatty, since that helps with absorption of the turmeric.
Any tips before you start?
The black pepper is key here, it significantly boosts turmeric absorption, so don't skip it. Pairing with a fat source, like a splash of milk or cream, or eating alongside breakfast, makes a real difference. This keeps well at room temperature for a couple of weeks since honey is naturally shelf-stable.
If managing inflammation through food is something you're navigating too, I've also written about the turmeric ginger gummies I make for endo support, another daily habit that's become part of how I manage symptoms.
Thanks for being here, friends!
