This Egg Yolk Milk Tastes Like Melted Vanilla Ice Cream

This is our favorite drink, served warm or cold.

Egg yolks are full of fat soluble vitamins, choline, and healthy fats that support brain health and steady energy.

What do you need?

  • 1 egg yolk

  • 1 tsp maple syrup

  • 1/4 tsp Ceylon cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp vanilla

  • 1 1/2 cups milk of choice, divided

How do you make it?

  1. Separate the egg yolk into a bowl and whisk together with the vanilla, salt, maple syrup, and cinnamon.

  2. Add in 1/2 cup of the milk and whisk until fully combined.

  3. Pour into a glass with the remaining 1 cup of milk, mix, and enjoy.

Any tips before you start?

This one's also great with other warming spices, cardamom, ginger, clove, allspice, honestly whatever you've got in the cupboard. We like throwing in melted bee pollen, colostrum, or pearl powder too, depending on the day. I stick with Ceylon cinnamon here mostly out of habit at this point, it's easier on blood sugar and packs more antioxidants than the regular cassia stuff you'll find at most grocery stores.

If you're into simple, low-cost swaps that actually make a difference, I wrote about why baking soda's become my go-to pesticide wash, another easy one that's just stuck around in our routine.

Thanks for being here, friends!
